Musée d'Afrique Centrale au Bozar
Puisque le musée de Tervuren est fermé durant sa rénovation (achevée en 2017), où aller pour observer l'évolution du projet et découvrir quelques curiosités? AfricaMuseum@BOZAR est un espace de rencontre du Musée royal de l’Afrique centrale installé au Palais des Beaux-Arts pendant les travaux. Outre la découverte du projet, on peut aussi s'y plonger dans les publications du MRAC depuis la création de l'institut en 1898. Quarante mètres linéaire de livres retracent l'histoire et la production de cette institution, et ces ouvrages sont consultables par le public. ouvert du mardi au dimanche, de 10:00 à 18:00

La maison de monsieur Sax
Adolphe Sax, génial inventeur du saxophone, dispose désormais dans sa ville natale de Dinant d’un espace qui lui est entièrement dédié. Pas un musée, mais un centre d’interprétation de sa vie et de son œuvre. Ouvert 7 jours sur 7, gratuitement, de 10h à 19h.

Afrikän Protoköl Summer Tour 2014
Afrikän Protoköl is the Afro Jazz Sextet of Belgian saxophonist Guillaume Van Parys. Following his meeting with the Burkinabè drummer Moïse Ouattara, he has composed a music based on traditional rhythms from Burkina Faso and West Africa. Jazzy riffs, grooves and improvisations merge together into what we could call a « warm and conscious transcultural fusion ». Established in Burkina Faso in 2013, the band is on tour in Europe this summer 2014 to release its first album called Freedom From The Known. Although we could hear in this album clear influences from Afro Beat master Fela Kuti, Steve Coleman, Manu Dibango and Aka Moon, a very original identity has come out of this mix of emerging European and African jazz musicians. With a rhythmic section 100% from Burkina Faso and horns from Belgium and Ivory Cost, Afrikän Protoköl proposes a colourful and dynamic show.
