    • MAKYzard au Bota

      MAKYzard est une rencontre improbable où se croisent influences hip-hop et latines et mélanges plus inattendus, entre textes, samples, improvisations et musique acoustique. Une orchestration singulière, un dialogue, nappé de breakbeats, entre la voix et les instruments. MAKYzard, un nom aux accents de résistance, rappelant aussi celui du personnage persévérant et combatif à l’écriture consciente et sensée qu'est MAKY. Ses textes développent un écho pertinent à l’actualité, dénonçant un monde en crise face à ses contradictions et ses injustices, scandés au sons de la guitare flamenca, du cajón, du sax et de la contrebasse. Un concert à l’énergie chaleureuse et des improvisations bien sûr, marquant définitivement leur style d’une empreinte particulière.

    • SuperBodies: Yang Zhenzhong

      dinsdag tot en met vrijdag van 11:00 uur tot 18:00 uur zaterdag en zondag van 13:00 uur tot 17:00 uur Van 4 februari tot en met 13 mei 2012 presenteert CIAP werk van Yang Zhenzhong (1968, Hangzhou, China). Deze tentoonstelling past in het bredere kader van de Hasseltse triënnale voor kunst, mode en design SuperBodies. Deze derde editie van Super staat in het teken van de fascinatie van kunstenaars en ontwerpers voor de manier waarop ons lichaam onbewust vormgeeft aan onze ervaringen. In het geval van Yang Zhenzhong is de sterfelijkheid de link met de lichamelijkheid. Hij herinnert eraan dat we juist door onze lichamelijkheid eindig, kwetsbaar, sterfelijk zijn.

    • "Vacanza" Permanente

      Donderdag 14.00-20.00 Vrijdag – Zondag 14.00 – 19.00 In februari 2012 stelde het NICC aan Komplot een lijst voor met vrouwelijke kunstenaars voor een hedendaagse groepstentoonstelling. Komplot koos voor een post-feministische benadering van dit gegeven. Deze benadering impliceerde dat de termen "vrouw" en "kunstenaar" beschouwd worden als sociale categorieën die een reeks voorveronderstellingen inhouden, waarbij het mannelijke het vrouwelijke mede definieert en "niet-kunstenaars" "kunstenaars". Het uitgangspunt voor deze curatoriële benadering van een groepstentoonstelling was het Franse magazine 'Art & Décoration', een assemblage van ideale uitdrukkingen en uiteenlopende kunststromingen, gaande van Art Nouveau tot design. Tegelijkertijd brengt dit magazine ook enkele voorveronderstellingen/stereotiepen van de vrouwelijke sekse naar voren, gaande van de rol van een vrouw in een huishouden tot vrouwelijke thema's in de kunst.

    • « Passer plus outre »

      À l’invitation du Caméléon Coquet, Amathéü&Ganz propose une sélection d’oeuvres textiles, passant de «bannières monumentales» dont certaines furent montrées à la Halle Saint-Pierre de Paris ou lors de la mise en place du « Manifeste de figuration contemplative » au centre culturel de Ath jusqu’à de petites pièces intimistes qui relèvent parfois de la miniature. Qui connaît déjà leur parcours comprendra aisément combien ces réalisations s’inscrivent à nouveau dans l’élaboration ou la mise en place de cet univers symbolique que le duo construit par des centaines de touches aux techniques et supports sans cesse renouvelés. Le détail comme partie matérielle et reflet intégral de l’ensemble… « Passer plus outre » comme reflet du grand tumulte qui entoure le cheminement de chaque individu.

    • Signes d'absences

      Vincent Matyn-Wallecan aux Ateliers Mommen. En collaboration avec le plasticien Guy Cardoso,une exposition installée : rassembler des recherches avec la ligne, le trait et le graphe, dans un ensemble de périodes, de tendances. Emergence d'un souci, d'une préoccupation pour les ratages, détours, dérives, trous, barre invalidant le sujet. Positivement des portraits en creux, des groupes, tout un monde pris dans du fil, des filets, des structures et des réseaux. La distance ne m'étant pas accessible, j'invite Guy Cardoso à choisir pour moi les oeuvres à sortir du placard et à organiser dans l'espace. L'ensemble n'est pas, à proprement parler, exposé aux murs de la salle. Les objets sont mis en relation dans une narration spatiale par l'installation. Il y a des amas, des noeuds, des concrétions, des grilles. En l'absence de vernis, pas de vernissage, mais l'ouverture des oeuvres à l'air libre. Rendez-vous le Samedi 21 avril aux environs de 19h30, et dans le flux de la soirée il se passera quelque événement grâce à la partition vocale de Yan Busang et celle non moins gestuelle de Guy Cardoso et Julie Martineau. Signes d'absences est visitable du 22 au 28 avril 2012 de 12h à 17h. Le mieux est d'appeler au 0478 58 33 84.

      Un spectacle de Dominique Breda, avec Alexandre Crépet, Emmanuel Dekoninck et Alexis Goslain. Une histoire pas drôle au départ, mais un sujet grave traité avec profondeur et beaucoup d'humour. C'est la rencontre (imaginaire) entre un fils et son père suicidé. On se dit alors que ça va être lourd jusqu'à l'apparition d'un chef de gare décallé. On est touché, on rit pas mal et les comédiens sont excellents. Attention, le mercredi, c'est à 19h.

      De Gentse Hoppers Mini-Exchange. Die gaat door van 27 april tot en met 29 april. Dit is een weekend waarbij we zoveel mogelijke lokale en internationale geinteresseerden willen laten genieten van een goed dansfeest, verschillende swinggeralateerde activiteiten,de stad Gent an sich, de diverse groep dansers en Lindy Hop als dit schitterend dansfenomeen. We willen ook aan de bewoners van Gent en ver daarbuiten laten zien welke leuke danscene we opgebouwd hebben op een korte tijd. En vooral, we willen onze goed amuseren op de tunes van de jazzmuzikanten van 'the golden era of jazz'. * Vrijdagavond dansfeest met DJ-Batle en live band 'Birdie Bounce'* *Zaterdag overdag: stadstour, jazzkroegentocht, urban dance, The Dansant (P) in de Vooruit met ‘t Mouvement en nog een Big Band van de muziekacademie Gent.
