Tarantula Psilocybes
Tribal-psychedelic depiction of psilocybe cubensis (Mexican) mushrooms. The alien eyes and web-like patterns around the edges make me think of tarantula nests, and if the painting is turned upside down, weird floating alien jellyfish appear. Quite spooky. Acrylic on wood board, 2003.
