Pour qui connaît déjà bien Ni, le titre de son troisième album ne pourra que prêter à sourire. Fol Naïs, littéralement "né fou" en vieux françois, ou l'appellation donnée aux fous et bouffons des grands souverains de l'Histoire. Ce symbole d'impertinence ne pourrait mieux correspondre à cette nouvelle livraison du plus inclassable des quatuors rhône-alpins. Complexe, dissonant, hirsute, c'est tout vu. Mais sa redoutable inventivité et son inattendue facette dansante en font une sommité de la niche musicale. Math Rock ? Noise ? Metal ? Jazz ? Ni franchit une étape supplémentaire dans sa quête du Graal, déployant autant de gaudriole que de courroux. Démonstration le 1er décembre 2023 !

Resultaat: het Maasmechelse noiserock-trio genaamd HAMERS. Hun soundtrack: Lawaai van de bovenste plank, dat flirt met de grens van het muzikale en zich maar al te graag nestelt in de kafkaiaanse wereld van dissonantie. Onder de vlag van hun eerste EP ‘GROBTOK’ tourden ze twee jaar lang het land rond en braken ze menig podium af, waaronder dat van Muziekodroom, Rock Herk en AFF. Vervolgens doken ze noodgedwongen terug achter de schrijftafel.Op 2 juni 2023 liet HAMERS hun nieuwe album “MERKAHNDYS” op de wereld los. Na twee jaar schrijven, schrappen en experimenteren slaagt de band erin om hun atypische sound nog verder uit te diepen. Invloeden variëren van Black Midi, Slint en HORSE The band tot Lightning bolt en Nailbomb, maar HAMERS laat zich niet binden aan eender welk noiserock-, punk- of metalcliché. Elke regel wordt met plezier aan flarden gescheurd en vervolgens diep begraven met de schup die ook deel uitmaakt van het instrumentarium van de drummer.
