Pushkinsky, restored as its glorious beginnings. Covered with a thin and translucent skin1 that permits a colorful back projection gives it suddenly a lively face. ... Its presence is graceful, day or night, in the eyes of the passers-by. The park was completely remodeled in order to be suitable for different kinds of organized events such as festivals, montées des marches,… So we can appreciate two facets: On one hand, mixed gardens with an architecture that includes the principles of kinetic art (mirror game with water, inverted perspectives, gardens suspended and games paving (standard chess)) On the other hand there is an amphitheater architecture (outside) as we found it in the antiquity. Indeed, the central basin of this area is very shallow and once emptied of its water, it reveals a scene. These two principles explain, in a certain way, the real affectation of the complex. On one hand a scene, on the other hand a cinema. Moreover, a strap between the different architectural elements has been established in the form of two footbridges2 semi-aerial which point out the park entrance as a parapet and the theater and invite us to go for a walk and allow us to see the city, the park and the movie complex from unusual perspectives. (1) This thin layer is actually made up of many independent motorized vertical fins that add movement to the animation. Each fin is composed of three sides: -a skin Dupont Corian “illumination series” (glacier ice) -a sign-Led (display) -and finally a waterproof removable panel allowing the maintenance and the acces to the technic. (2) The whole leans only on a set of columns modeled on the lines of those already present in the lower part of the original building. Each beginning of the footbridges and staircase are illuminated by a backlit Corian Dupont guardrail “illumination series” (glacier ice) and allow to point out the entrances of the park.
